Volleyball picks up a win tonight over Meigs Go Eagles!

The school year is off and running, and it has started so well. Special thank you to our amazing students and staff for working together, our band and cheerleaders for pumping everyone up on the first day, and our football team for helping our car riders get in safe and fire up the elementary students. Our new traffic pattern has gone well, and we appreciate everyone being patient and helpful. A couple things we've noticed that might be helpful would be for all 7-12 students getting dropped off to be sure you are around the corner and pulled forward along the sidewalk as far as you can before dropping off. This will let everyone get around the corner faster and keep it safer for our kiddos. Also please be sure not to let any students out anywhere out front unless it's along the sidewalk. Lastly be sure to use the right and left entrance lanes. K-3 drop off stay to the right and everyone else to the left. We are excited for a pep rally today with volleyball home versus Meigs tonight and football at Meigs Saturday evening. Come out and support all of these kids who work so hard. Thank you so much for all your help and we hope to have an even week next week!

Atomic Credit Union is seeking student applicants for the Student-Run Credit Union this school year at our school district to promote financial literacy, savings, and a unique experience for students to learn money managing skills. A variety of positions are available including a student branch mananger, tellers, member service representatives, book keepers, and data entry specialists. Applications for interested high school students are available in the high school office. This work will be done during the school day during lunch and breakfast times beginning September 16th. Applications must be turned in before August 28th, with interviews being conducted at school during 5th period on September 3rd. Selected applicants would receive training onsite at Eastern on September 9th from 1-2:30pm.

Meigs County families, with school-aged children, the monthly, drive through food distribution will take place at the Meigs Local Administrative office building (formerly Salisbury Elem.) Thursday at 41765 Pomeroy Pike in Pomeroy 4:30-until supplies run out. They will have fresh produce from the Meigs County farmers market, soup and casseroles from the 740 kitchen (Joe Burrow Foundation) Thank you

Mobile Lung Screening in Meigs County

Eastern Local will be moving toward a new centralized location of communication for classes, extracurricular activities, and other pertinent school information. This will make communication and connections with Eastern staff, coaches, and families much simpler, and smoother across all grade levels district wide. Through the Eastern Local SD App, all messages are centralized through one inbox, allowing staff and families to communicate easily through the ROOMS Platform (within the Eastern App).

If you are a parent, family member, or community member wishing to stay up to date with district and school news, please download the Eastern Local SD App through the Google Play Store, or Apple App Store (Based on Device).

If you already have downloaded this app, due to an update needed for ROOMs communication to be accessible, you may need to remove the app, and redownload it.

After opening the App, select ROOMS on the toolbar on the bottom of your device's screen. It will prompt you to sign in at this time. Please use your phone number, and follow the prompts to finalize logging in. From here, you will be able to see your student's classes, and get centralized class updates, news, and message teachers along with other school staff directly. Please see the attached Rooms Quick Start Guide attached as well for additional assistance.
