On Thursday, April 28, 2022, Eastern Local Schools held its annual Reading Fair with the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students. Starting in February, students were asked to choose and read a novel. Each student then prepared an exhibit with many of the language arts conventions that they learned during the school year. The exhibits were placed in the school gymnasium where students had the opportunity to speak with judges about their novels. Students were judged on their presentation and ability to answer questions with regard to their individual novel. After the competition, the exhibits were left in the gym to be viewed during Family Night. It was a terrific experience for the students to discuss their novels with the judges, and the exhibits showed that the students learned a great deal this year!
