On Friday, December 6th, seniors from Eastern attended the Washington County Career Center's Medical Discovery Day. Students explored the medical programs that Washington County Career Center has to offer as well as have some hands on experience in these programs. The students experienced things like opening up a body on a fake cadaver, taking out organs, drawing blood, practicing CPR, using laparoscopic tools, and how to help a patient who isn't breathing. The programs the students explored were Surgical Technology, EMT, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, Medical Billing and Coding, and STNA. These were all great programs and the students had a fun time.
