Students participating in the archery program, science olympiad team, and youth basketball recently got the opportunity to thank the Meigs County Foundation for awarding grant funding to support these after school activities for Eastern students. We know students at Eastern who are involved in extracurricular activities on average have better grades, better attendance, and fewer behavioral issues. This is why we try and encourage every student to find a program they can become part of, as well as expand the extracurricular opportunities for students. Grant funding like this helps to make that possible. The Meigs County Foundation has supported the Eastern FFA creation, helped the music program, and helped with students health and wellness, along with so many other programs across the county.
