The Sources of Strength group at Eastern High School has started its October Campaign by trying to spread joy and positivity to students and helping students to find a trusted adult in their school that can help them with problems. This afternoon, the high school Sources of Strength students put positive encouragement magnets on each student’s locker.
The Sources of Strength program is a school program aimed to promote a positive school environment with a goal to reduce the risk of bullying, suicide, violence, and substance abuse. Our student group does this by utilizing monthly campaigns that will provide students with mental health resources, student leadership and support, and interactive campaigns to promote a positive school environment. Students in this group went through trainings for Sources of Strength last school year and are ready to implement what they have learned into Eastern. We are excited to see what activities they will come up with for this school year!
