The 5th grade teachers in collaboration with the District Leadership Team have taken the lead, and are trying something new this year. On the evening of September 3rd at 5:00, and 6:00, the 5th grade team will host a Curriculum Night. Parents and community members are able to discuss grading, classroom procedures, homework, and give stakeholders an opportunity to ask questions and get to know the teachers. The district wants to be as transparent and proactive as possible in helping our families, and helping them understand what happens in our classrooms. By piloting this new program we are hoping it will be well attended and successful, it could be something we expand in the future.
