The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio Meigs County Foundation recently held a grant award recognition at the Blakeslee Center in Middleport. Eastern Student representatives from the FFA program Sam Cremeans, and Derek Snedden thanked the organization for the grant they were awarded for the development of a community garden. The Science Olympiad team that qualified for the State competition last year was represented by Cassium Powell, who thanked the organization for expansion of their program. Local representatives from the Chester and Tuppers Plains Youth baseball and softball programs Chris Carroll and Josh Will were also in attendance to show their appreciation for grants their programs received for improvements to the local facilities. FAO Meigs County Foundation has been so helpful to our local community and our students.
