On Tuesday, February 21, Eastern FFA members attended the Gallia County Livestock Judging Invitational. Students competed against other schools in judging beef cattle, swine, lambs and goats. The judging team consisted of 9 students; Olivia Wood, Derek Snedden, Matthew Guess, Wesley Milhoan, Laikyn Davis, Brayden Creath, Brandon Oldaker, Samual Cremeans and Logan Bailey. Overall, Eastern placed 10th in the district with their highest scoring member being Matthew Guess. Congratulations to these members for their accomplishments.
On Thursday, March 2nd, three FFA members competed in the District Agriculture Mechanical
Skills contest at Logan High School. Wesley Milhoan, Matthew Guess and Derek Snedden
competed in activities such as welding, tool identification and electrical work. Overall, these
students placed 6th as a team in the district and Wesley Milhoan placed 6th individually.
Congratulations to these students on the accomplishments and hard work.
